Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasinya adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 2 Kabanjahe yang terdiri atas 6 kelas dengan 2 kelas sampel yang diambil secara purposif. Instrumen yang digunakan berjumlah 25 soal sesuai dengan jenis soal berpikir kritis Watson-Glaser Critical Appraisal (W-GCTA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata postes kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi yaitu 76,56 (SD = 8,08). Dibandingkan nilai rata-rata postes kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas kontrol yaitu 71,33 (SD = 8,84). Analisis pengujian hipotesis hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf kepercayaan α = 0,05 menunjukkan t hitung> t tabel (3,0946 > 1,9967) dan dk = n+n-2 = 70, yang berarti dalam penelitian ini H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian menunjukan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think- pair-share (TPS) disertai media gambar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type think-pair-share (TPS) accompanied image media towards students' of the critical thinking skills on the cell material in class XI MIA Negeri 2 Kabanjahe academic year 2018/2019. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The population is all students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 2 Kabanjahe which consists of 6 classes with 2 classes of samples taken purposively. The instrument used was 25 questions according to the type of critical thinking problem Watson-Glaser Critical Appraisal (W-GCTA). The results showed the average posttest score of students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class was 76.56 (SD = 8.08). Compared to the average posttest score of critical thinking skills of control class students is 71.33 (SD = 8.84). Analysis of testing the hypothesis of the results of critical thinking skills of students using the t- test with a confidence level α = 0.05 indicating thitung> ttable (3.0946> 1.9967) and dk = n + n-2 = 70, which means in this study H0 was rejected while Ha was accepted. Thus, it shows that there is a significant influence of think- pair-share (TPS) type cooperative learning model along with drawing media on students' critical thinking skills.
