Email: meyprawestiunikal@gmail.com ABSTRAK Latar belakang : Penggunaan terapi antibiotika kombinasi pada pasien pediatri dipertimbangkan dengan alasan untuk memperluas spektrum aktivitas terapi, mendapatkan sinergisme dan mencegah resistensi dimana penggunaan antibiotika kombinasi dengan mekanisme kerja yang berbeda efektif dalam pencegahan resistensi. Pemakaian antibiotika kombinasi cefotaxim- thiamfenikol pada pasien pediatri penderita demam tifoid di rawat inap di RSU Budi Rahayu sebanyak 50% pada tahun 2015. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan antibiotika kombinasi cefotaxim dan thiamfenikol pada pasien pediatri di RSU Budi Rahayu pada tahun 2016. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dan rancangan penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif retrospektif dengan mengolah data rekam medis pada pasien pediatri yang di rawat inap di RSU Budi Rahayu pada tahun 2016. Kata kunci : Antibiotika kombinasi 1 , cefotaxim-thiamfenikol 2 , pediatri, demam tifoid 3 ABSTRACT Background: The use of combination antibiotic therapy in pediatric patients is considered for the reason of expanding the spectrum of therapeutic activity to obtain synergism and prevent resistance where the use of combination antibiotics with different mechanisms of action is effective in resistance resistance. The use of cefotaxime-thiamphenicol combination antibiotics in pediatric patients with typhoid fever in inpatient care at Budi Rahayu General Hospital was 50% in 2015. Objective: This study aims to determine the use of a combination antibiotic cefotaxime and thiamphenicol in pediatric patients at Budi Rahayu General Hospital in 2016. Methods: This study is an observational study and the research design was carried out in a retrospective descriptive manner by processing medical record data on pediatric patients who were hospitalized at Budi Rahayu General Hospital in 2016.
