ABSTRACT
In education in general and learning in particular, self-study and self-research have a very important
role. Self-study and self-research help students to deeply understand, expand, consolidate and
remember the lesson knowledge firmly thanks to the ability to self-analyze and synthesize documents,
thereby being able to apply the knowledge of the lesson. learned knowledge into solving new learning
tasks. At the same time, self-study and self-study help students to form positive, independent and self-
disciplined in learning as well as scientific working habits. From there, determine the development of
personality qualities and determine the quality of learning. To comprehensively grasp professional
knowledge at the university level requires students to make a lot of efforts in learning activities,
especially to spend a lot of time on self-study and self-research. proper, appropriate and effective
learning. Through the research, we propose four groups of measures to improve self-study and self-
research capacity for first-year students of University of Economics and Business Administration – Thai
Nguyen.

1. INTRODUCTION
The Ministry of Education and Training issued
Circular No.10/2016/TT-BGDT dated April 5,
2016 on regulations on student work with regular
university training programs, including
regulations on students: “Study and practice
according to the education and training programs
and plans of the higher education institution;
Actively, actively self-study, research, create and
practice ethics and lifestyle.
Theory of higher education has also shown that:
The student in the training process is not only the
object of teaching activities but also the subject of
the process of acquiring knowledge, skills and
techniques. In the organizational forms of
teaching, self-study of learners plays a very
important role. Self-study and self-research is an
indispensable and objective requirement for the
training and learning process at universities.
Self-study and self-research of students is an
important and inseparable part of the training
process at the school. It is a necessary activity for
students to turn human knowledge into their own
understanding and capacity. In fact, the problem
of self-study and self-research of students in
schools today has not been paid enough attention,
the interest is only shown in encouragement and
encouragement, but not much attention is paid to
learning as well. such as implementing impact
measures to form students' self-study and self-
research skills - a fundamental factor creating the
effectiveness of self-study and self-research
activities.
Aware of the above situation, we have conducted
a survey on the status of self-study and self-study
of students in the 19th class of the majors of the
University of Economics and Business
Administration, thereby proposing solutions.
