Kafkas Üniversitesi İlâhiyat Fakültesi Dergisi Kafkas University Faculty of Divinity Review www.dergipark.org.tr Doi 10.17050/kafkasilahiyat.994654 A Review on Din Yolu Magazıne Muhammed KALENDEROĞLU  Abstract The magazine Din Yolu (literally: The Path of the Religion) owned by Ismayıl Hakkı Baltacıoğlu who was an educator, author, calligrapher and politician as well as a translator, interpreter of Qur’an in Turkish language, was a societal and religious magazine. It was published from 15 March 1956 to 1 September 1957 in Ankara. Ragıp Akyavaş was the Editor -in-chief from its 8th issue, later Rıza Atilla from 13th issue. Its lifespan was over in 36th issue. Din Yolu thought that social development was only possible if people believed in a superstition-free religion. In this context, its views on Qur’an in Turkish language and Turkish as a liturgical language were quite noteworthy. Din Yolu includes basic religious information in the "Religious Knowledge for Young People" section, which was prepared to teach children the essence of superstition and bigotry-free Islam. In the articles, it also gives his readers information about Islamic history, civilization and morality. Moreover, Din Yolu magazine translated and serialized Corcî Zeydân's novel "Nile Virgin Armanosa", which tells the history of the earlier period of Islam and had not been translated into Turkish before. In this study, by examining all the issues of Din Yolu, we aimed to determine the literary features of the magazine, its approach to the prominent discussions of the period such as the translation of the Qur'an into Turkish and religious education in secondary schools, its thoughts about institutions such as Diyanet (Religious Affairs of Turkey) and Faculty of Theology.
