ARTIFÍCIOS DA CONSTRUÇÃO NARRATIVA: O DUPLO E O CINEMA COMO ALEGORIA PARA O DUPLO EM CLUBE DA LUTA ARTIFICES OF LITERARY CONSTRUCTION: THE DOUBLE AND THE CINEMA AS ALLEGORY FOR THE DOUBLE IN FIGHT CLUB Felipe Benicio de LIMA 1 Resumo: O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar como a temática do duplo é desenvolvida no romance Clube da luta (originalmente publicado em 1996), de Chuck Palahniuk, enfocando a relação entre o narrador e seu outro eu, com especial atenção ao modo como essa existência dual é construída textualmente, instaurando um complexo jogo narrativo em que corpos, vozes e tempos distintos coexistem e se sobrepõem. Busca-se ainda refletir acerca das relações entre literatura e cinema, observando como este último é incorporado pela primeira em termos estilísticos, mas também demonstrando como a sétima arte funciona como uma alegoria para o duplo no romance de Palahniuk. Como aporte teórico, as reflexões de Bravo (2016), Mello (2000) e Rank (2013) acerca do duplo, de Reis e Lopes (1987) sobre narração, bem como as teorizações de Abrams (1999) e Baldick (2001) a respeito da alegoria estão presentes nas análises aqui empreendidas. Abstract: The present work aims to analyze how the theme of the double is developed in Chuck Palahniuk's novel Fight Club (first published in 1996), focusing on the relationship between the narrator and his own self, with particular attention to how this dualistic existence is built textually, creating a complex narrative game in which distinct bodies, voices and times coexist and overlap. This work also aims to reflect upon the relationship between literature and cinema, observing how the latter is absorbed by the former regarding stylistics, but also demonstrating how the seventh art works as an allegory for the double in Palahniuk's novel. As a theoretical basis, contribute to the present analysis the reflections regarding the double by Bravo (2016), Mello (2000) and Rank (2013), regarding narration by Reis and Lopes (1987), as well as the theorizing on allegory by Abrams (1999) and Baldick (2001).
