Generally speaking, there are two keys for the successful construction of Wireless Sensor Network, one it the editing of appropriate data transfer protocol at the front end of the network, the next is the possession of robust database and effective network platform in the back end that can meet the need of the users. Based on the above two requirements, the customized wireless physiological sensor network designed by this research is based on the real environment of health care room, under the premise of ”customer is number 1”, comfortable equipment, effective database and simple network system are used to achieve the objective of omnipresent health care. Based on the experience and technology obtained from this real application, we hope to build more complicated U- healthcare system to be used by the health service center. Keywords- Wireless Sensor Network; transfer protocol; database; omnipresent health care I. INTRODUCTION Using this system structure (figure1),”Customized wireless physiological sensor network design [1]: take U- Healthcare as example” of this research is set up. Here the wireless physiological signal sensor node transmits the physiological information through one to two Bluetooth way. In the future, it can be expanded to 1 to 7, and the gateway end is connected to the Bluetooth transmitter. Meanwhile, in the Bluetooth driving program, Bluetooth device port can be added. Sensing node has different port, and Bluetooth wireless transmission is used to transmit physiological signal to the remote host, and the physiological signal collected from each point is sent to the database. The setup of medical record system in the health care center and hospitals is outsourced or self-developed. Although all kinds of biomedical data and test reports are saved in the database, yet due to the lack of uniform format, there is difficulty for search and tracking among different health care organizations and hospitals. Due to the difference in data resource and detailed items, it usually leads to bad result. Therefore, the motivation of this article is to extend from the system and to study the acquisition of data from the medical record system database of hospital. It is hoped that a set of electronic medical record file format can be set up for ”medical care service center database” that belongs to medical care service center . Figure 1. LITERATURE REVIEW Starting from 1994, the elderly people aged more than 65 years old in Taiwan has exceeded 8% of the total population, which reaches the high age society standard as made by the United Nation. It is expected that in 2011, this proportion is going to be above 12%, which will be close to that of advanced countries such as Europe, America and Japan. Along with the rapid rise of the population of old people, lots of social problems related to old people medical and health care will arise, which will be a burden to the government. In recent years, the major cause of death for citizens in this country is chronic disease and degenerate non-contagious disease, in addition to the chronic disease which is commonly seen in old people due to age factor, young people could also easily get the chronic disease due to high work pressure, bad dining habit, staying overnight and the lack of exercise. However, chronic disease needs long term tracking and cure, but the current medical resource does not allow the long term staying in hospital for medical care, 2011 11th IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Bioengineering 978-0-7695-4391-8/11 $26.00 © 2011 IEEE DOI 10.1109/BIBE.2011.30 137
