Sarma Department of Education in Science and Mathematics, NCERT, New Delhi, tpsarma@yahoo.com Abstract In the current scenario, the most applied tool in pedagogy for student engagement and curriculum dissemination is technology, be it transaction through online mode or use of various e-tools for transaction and assessment procedures. Moving ahead with it, immersive technologies like augmented reality and virtual reality are also now being explored and blended by the teachers in their teaching learning processes. These techniques would enhance immersive learning in the students through a simulated environment providing them a real experience of even abstract concepts. One of the tools of immersive learning discussed in this paper is Co Spaces. It is an incredible tool as experienced by the researcher firsthand, which provides endless possibilities to the teachers and students to create 3-D world for the students and grab experience in 360-degree transition as well. This paper specifically deals with the process of using CoSpaces as content development tool for K-12 education. At the inception of technology in education domain, we used to talk about digital applications like MSWord, MSPowerpoint and Excel. But with the passage of time, the complexity of usage of digital applications also increased and so the modes as well. One of the current modes is application of immersive technologies like augmented reality and virtual reality for curriculum transaction. These digital technologies provide interactive digital environment in an artificial environment, providing a real experience to students in virtual environment within their comfort zones. Virtual reality programs provides a whole artificial environment replaced by a real one unlike augmented reality program in which the layer of digital information is added in the real environment making it a part of real space, converting it into a digital interface. Future ready 21 st century skills specifically critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration can be best fostered through these immersive technologies thereby making them future ready productive citizens. Critical thinking process which comprises of interpretations and evaluation of arguments can be enhanced among the students by creating technology assisted active environment employing AR or VR in classroom environment. Such environment engage students in a multisensory manner which
