Abstract - Internet of things applications in healthcare are an
important field to learn about as many diseases and viruses are
spreading these days, so with the spreading of viruses, we need to
learn more about healthcare and the applications based on the
internet of things that are connected to the healthcare. Many
patients who are suffering from diseases need some applications
to have a comfortable environment that allows them to ask for
help easily, and we can list some applications like Implantable
Glucose Monitoring systems, Activity Trackers During Cancer
Treatment, Heart Monitors with reporting, Medical Alert
Systems, Ingestible Sensors, wearables to Fight Systems
Depression, Connected Contact Lenses, Location Services,
Remote Monitoring.
Keywords – Ingestible Sensors; Connected Contact Sensors;
Implantable Glucose.
I. INTRODUCTION
IoT in HealthCare is considered one of the most important
topics in the Internet of Things Applications. We can notice
that healthcare is needed in our community. The need for
healthcare has become more popular nowadays due to the
spreading of viruses and illnesses [24]. For instance, we can
realize that COVID has affected our life. So, we need to have
enhanced Internet of Things Applications based on healthcare
to fight against COVID, and other viruses or illnesses [22].
Years ago, there wasn’t an Internet of things on HealthCare.
So, the interactions between the patients and doctors were
limited to visits and telecommunications. Fig.1. IoT

Internet of things gave us the significant features to have a
good healthcare system like remote monitoring so that
monitoring is specifically focused on keeping the patients safe
and healthy. With remote monitoring, patient interaction and
satisfaction have been increased as communication with
doctors has become much simpler. Moreover, this feature
helps to reduce the length of hospital stay and prevents re-
admissions. Information of Things has an impact on reducing
healthcare costs and improving hospitalization outcomes
piece of information that helps them follow the dosages
for their medications through patients' mobile apps [23].
II. INTERNET OF THINGS APPLICATIONS IN
HEALTHCARE
Implantable Glucose Monitoring Systems, Activity Trackers
During Cancer Treatment, Heart Monitors with Reporting,
Medical Alert Systems, Ingestible Sensors, Wearables to Fight
Depression, Connected Contact Lenses, Location Services,
and Remote Monitoring are all just a few examples of Internet
of Things Applications in HealthCare. Implantable Glucose
Monitoring Systems in HealthCare provide good and unique
benefits to patients. This application is aimed at diabetic
patients because it provides them with sensors. When a
patient's glucose levels go too low, the sensors send
information to their phone, which records historical data for
them. As a result, patients will understand that they may
identify when they are most likely to be at risk. One of the
Internet of Things applications centered on healthcare is
Activity Trackers During Cancer Treatment. Activity Trackers
are used to keep track of a patient's movements, fatigue levels,
hunger, and other factors. Furthermore, the data collected from
the tracker before and during hospitalization will alert
healthcare providers to any changes that need to be made to
the proposed hospitalization plan. One of the HealthCare-
based apps is heart monitors with reporting. This app is
intended to track heart rates and assess whether they have
excessive blood pressure. When people have Arrhenius
syndrome, wearable gadgets can warn healthcare. Heart
monitors with Reporting is one of the applications based on
HealthCare. This application is used to monitor heart rates,
which can determine whether they have high blood pressure.
The healthcare professionals can be told by the wearable
devices whenever patients are experiencing Arrhenius,
palpitations, strokes, or full-blown heart attacks. Medical Alert
Systems is one of the internets of things healthcare
applications. In the event of an emergency, it is utilized to
notify family members or friends. For example, if a
