After the slow addition of NaBH4 (238 mmol, 9.0 g) the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 20 h. The solvent was evaporated and the raw product was poured into H2O (100 mL) then extracted with DCM (200 mL). The organic layer was washed with brine solution and dried over anhydrous MgSO4. After removing the solvent under reduced pressure, the residue Electronic Supplementary Material (ESI) for Journal of Materials Chemistry A. This journal is © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2018
