Bir toplumu yükselten , bireyin statüsünü belirleyen eğitimidir. Dünyanın önde gelen ülkeleri, eğitime ciddi yatırımlar yapmaktadır. Bu çalışmada eğitimin başladığı yer olan okul öncesi eğitimin insan hayatındaki yeri vurgulanarak, kullanıcısı olan çocukların ihtiyaçlarına en iyi karşılık veren çocuk dostu anaokul kavramı açıklanmıştır. Yapılan çalışmalarda ülkemizde okul öncesi eğitimde ve eğitimin yapıldığı mekânlarda ciddi eksiklikler görülmektedir. Okul öncesi eğitimin, geri dönüşü en yüksek yatırım olduğu gerçeğini anlayan ülkeler bu alana ciddi yatırım yapmış gelişmiş ülkeleridir. Okullarının her yönüyle gelişimine destek olmaktadırlar. Ülkemizde yapılan araştırmalara baktığımız zaman ise okul öncesi eğitim konusunda oldukça eksiklerimiz olduğunu görmekteyiz, yine yapılan araştırmalar mevcut eğitim yapılarının nitelikli olmadığını, yapılmakta olanların da okul öncesi için ihtiyaç olan çocuk dostu kavramına cevap vermediğini göstermekte ve yapıların mimarisi iki yüz yıla yakın bir sürede aynı durmaktadır. Bu kadar hızlı gelişen bilim ve fendeki teknolojilere, değişimlere okul yapılarımızın da ayak uydurması kaçınılmazdır. Çalışmada öncelikle eğitim ve okul öncesi eğitimin önemine değinilmiştir. Okul öncesi eğitiminin insan hayatındaki yeri, kazanımları sıralanmıştır. Son yıllarda oldukça önemi fark edilen çocuk dostu ve çocuk dostu okul kavramlarına değinilmiştir. Çocuk dostu okul öncesi yapılarında olması gereken mekân kriterleri örneklerle anlatılmıştır. Son olarak çocuk dostu okul öncesi eğitim yapısında olması gereken nitelikler belirlenerek ve mevcut örnekler incelenerek bundan sonra tasarlanacak okullar için doküman niteliğinde araştırma tamamlanmıştır. It is education that determines the status of an individual that raises a society. The leading countries of the world are making serious investments in education. In this study, the place of pre-school education, which is the place where education begins, in human life is emphasized and the concept of child-friendly kindergarten, which best meets the needs of children who are users, is explained and examined with examples. Studies show that there are serious deficiencies in pre-school education and in the places where education takes place in our country. Countries that understand the fact that pre-school education is the highest return on investment are European countries that have invested heavily in this field. They support the development of their schools in every aspect. When we look at the researches made in our country, we see that we have a lot of deficiencies in pre-school education. Again, the researches show that the existing educational structures are not qualified, and the ones that are being made do not respond to the child-friendly concept needed for preschool, and the architecture of the buildings has remained the same for almost two centuries. It is inevitable for our school structures to keep up with these rapidly developing technologies and changes. In the study, first of all, the importance of education and pre- school education was mentioned. The place and achievements of pre-school education in human life are listed. The concepts of child-friendly and child-friendly school, which have been very important in recent years, have been mentioned. The space criteria that should be in child-friendly preschool buildings are explained with examples. As a result, by determining the qualifications that should be in the child-friendly preschool education structure and examining the existing examples, the documented research for the schools to be designed from now on was completed.
